Scott McDaniel

Kelly M. Hunt is a knowledgeable and trustworthy Trust and Estate attorney. She is keenly adept at helping clients with anything from a simple will or estate plan, to contested probate or trust actions, to creating in-depth wealth and asset protection for clients. Kelly’s experience and wide range of skills not only provide the basis for helping clients plan for and protect both themselves and their assets, but to enforce that plan after the fact.

Kelly understands that every client is different and actively takes the time to get to know each one. She strives to develop living plans which take in to account the nuances of every situation and the fact that plans may need to change along the way. Kelly’s practice encompasses a wide range of legal approaches to help clients grow, use, safeguard, and distribute client assets both during and after life.

      Estate and Trust Litigation

Trusts and Estates Litigation covers a wide array of situations, including guardianships, will contests, breaches of fiduciary duties by trustees and other parties, accountings, trust modification and reformation, allegations of undue influence or fraudulent conveyances, and the interpretation and resolution of issues relating to testamentary capacity intent.

Kelly’s experience and abilities in Trusts and Estates, combined with a desire to represent her clients’ rights, has made her an adept Trust and Estate litigator. Kelly helps with a variety of clients, which include trustees, executors, administrators, guardians, beneficiaries, and wards. This means that Kelly can fiercely advocate for her clients when court-related resolutions of trust, estate, and protective proceedings become necessary.

Kelly combines substantive expertise in the laws governing estate administration, descent and distribution, trusts, guardianships, and other issues, with years of courtroom experience. She also takes a collaborative and analytical approach with non-litigation conflict-resolution methods, such as mediation and arbitration.

Powers of Attorney and Healthcare Directives

Kelly also helps her clients protect their medical and financial dignity if they become incapacitated or disabled. She understands that, when plans need to be implemented, clients and their loved ones are often faced with tough and emotional times. Kelly guides her clients in creating comprehensive plans, which give them comfort in knowing that their wishes are clear and needs taken care of. This makes it easier for loved ones and allows them to be the support that clients will need.

Regardless of the situation, Kelly understands the psychology of working with difficult family relationships, shattering emotional experiences, such as death and incapacity, and often ill-thought-out estate plans. This makes her an indispensable part of the McDaniel Acord team and a prominent choice for Trust and Estate Planning and Litigation.
